MACON ESCOBAL RILEY

Macon is an award nominated Perth based performer. From 2013 – 2016 he performed with SLIDE Youth Dance Theatre and Tracks Dance in Darwin Northern Territory. Recently graduating from WAAPA he went on to perform in Perth Fringe 2020, Hidden Movements: The studio sessions 2020, STRUT Dance’s shortcuts seasons 2019 and 2021, and Co3’s season of Archives of Humanity for the Perth Festival 2021.

 Alongside performing Macon has a keen interest in studying improvisation, traveling, and choreography. Macon has worked with both national and international choreographers such as Lauren Langois, Bernadette Lewis, Mitchell Harvey, Yilin Kong, and Raewyn Hill.

In 2021 Macon was nominated for The Best Newcomer in Dance award for 2020 by Perth Arts WA.
